About Jimme

Jimmelynn Garland Rice

Jimmelynn Garland Rice is the CEO I Founder of Girls Nite In International, a global nonprofit mentoring and empowering teen girls and young women to make wise choices and become bold, fearless, brave, confident, compassionate and strong leaders!

The passion for Jimmelynn Garland Rice’s life-changing movement was born in a public high school girls’ restroom when her heart became wrecked watching teen girls making self-destructive choices or someone doing something to them to destroy them. Teens gravitated to this trusted, loving teacher to pour out their hearts and deepest, darkest secrets. Jimmelynn began intentionally taking her breaks in the girls’ restroom, rather than the faculty lounge, knowing that the restroom is often a girl’s safe place when she is vulnerable and hurting. Jimme loved girls through anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, pregnancy fears, bullying, purging, self-harm, addiction, and abusive relationships.

The instant you meet Jimmelynn, affectionately called ‘jimme’, you realize her heart is as big as the globe. You are immediately captivated and pulled into the warmth of her huge, welcoming hug, and feel safe, seen, understood, accepted, and deeply loved.

Jimme could not get these girls’ stories out of her head or heart and became consumed with a passion to create a Safe Refuge, called Girls Nite In, where girls and women experience the love and truth of Jimmelynn’s trademarked words, “You are welcome. You are wanted. You are valued. You are loved.”®

Jimmelynn’s messages providing hope, healing, life-strategy, life-guidance, and God’s Love have transformed the lives of thousands of teens, women, and men across the globe.

Working through her own childhood trauma and difficult family experiences has given Jim me deep passion and compassionate insight while equipping her with a Voice to articulate the pain and conflict churning inside generations of broken, confused, hurting souls.

Jimme’s life became permanently altered in 2015 when she was diagnosed with late-stage, chronic Lyme Disease.

Beginning a fierce battle literally fighting for her life, Jim me endured excruciating pain and the loss of cognitive, neurological capacities, as well as physical damage to major body systems and organs. She began years of what her specialist calls, “chemo on steroids” treatments to arrest the vicious, deadly disease and place her on a path of healing. A fierce fighter, who will not give up, Jimmelynn became a brave warrior equipped with the tenacity to encourage and teach others how to face adversity and never give up.

Jimmelynn is a visionary leader, culture-creator, team-builder, speaker, writer, professional musician and recording artist, worship leader, and pastoral ministry leader with her husband. A leader of mentors – Jimmelynn is empowering, equipping, and energizing a global network to mentor and influence this next generation!

A sought-after speaker, Jimme is a Southern girl who loves her mama, family, and the beach. Jimme’s most cherished roles are wife to college sweetheart, Rodney, proud Mama to three-adored grown children whom she lovingly calls her life’s work and greatestjoy, Jiji to her seven and ever-growing tribe of granddarlin’s, and dog mama to the newest member of the family, Bentley Tucker Blu.

“Sometimes, it’s not just teen girls who need a Jimme in their life. It could be an NHRA Top Fuel Championship drag racer who had lost her way, was broken, confused, suddenly homeless, shattered, and one hot mess. I know. I was that girl. Even though I was a thirty-one-year-old adult woman with a spectacular career, Jimmelynn knew I needed a home, love, privacy, tender care, and a safe place to heal. She wrote personal letters to me leaving them in my bedroom encouraging, mentoring, and coaching me back to health and faith. This book, full of her wisdom and life-changing guidance, will do the same for you! Letters from Jimme is a MUST. Her words are life-giving, full of hope and joy!”

—Leah Pruett Stewart, 2x NHRA World Champion, NHRA Top Fuel drag racer, Tony Stewart Racing

“I was a young girl abandoned by my mother and left in a gas station restroom along with my little brother. Although I am now a successful businesswoman, I immediately resonated deeply with Jimmelynn when I first met her and heard her story of birthing Girls Nite In in a public high school girls’ restroom. Just like someone rescued me, Jimme compassionately and decisively stepped up with a strategy to rescue teen girls from self-destructive choices. By creating a Safe Refuge offering hope, healing, and life-guidance, she has already impacted and changed thousands of lives all over the globe. Jimmelynn is so passionate and charismatic about changing the next generation of women, you can feel it on every page!”

“I have journeyed with Jimmelynn for close to 30 years as my pastoral leader, greatest mentor, and heart-to-heart friend. I have also been beside her in the throes of her horrific, life-threatening health crisis when she was diagnosed with chronic neurological Lyme disease. As a nurse for over 45 years, I have never seen anyone fight so hard for her life when it would have been easy to just give up!

“This fierce fight to live has only made her resolve to share truth and hope ever so much stronger. This book is life-giving guidance for us girls of ALL AGES now and into the future!”

Bruce W. Martin, author, Desperate for Hope

“I’ll never forget the first time I ran into Jimmelynn after I’d grown from the innocent little girl she had known to the woman I’d become. A woman with scars, with a past, with a story. As soon as I saw her, I wanted to hide. I was ready for the disapproving look of shame I’d received from so many from my past. But that is not Jimme. Jimme looked into my eyes, saw my shame, my hurt, my past, but she also looked deep into my soul and saw my future. She saw who I was meant to be, who I was slowly allowing God to make me. All I needed was that tear-rimmed smile, full Jimme hug, and message that I was loved to know that I could find my way back to wholeness and I could find a group of women to love me for who I was and who I would be. Fourteen years later, I now have the absolute JOY and pleasure of working side by side with Jimmelynn and Kristi for the mission of Girls Nite In International. A mission so close to my heart because I’ve experienced the healing that comes through it. The healing you’re about to experience by reading the love-filled words in this book.”
